About me
I am a German IT-professional with about 2 decades industry-experience working for several well-known Multinationals in a variety of IT support-roles.
My primary areas of expertise are Server-Virtualization, Server and Storage-Hardware, all major Server Operating Systems, TCP/IP networks, IP -and FC- Storage, Virtual Machine Backups (VADP), as well as SAN-Fabric and Storage Array Administration.
I am highly familiar with "hyper-converged Infrastructure" such as VMware vSAN, or Dell VxRail, where Compute, Storage and Networking is combined in just one Rack, building a so-called Software Defined Datacenter, running either on premises or in the cloud, as in “VMware Cloud on AWS” for example.
I am ITIL-certified, which helps me to understand and improve IT Service Management processes, like Incident, Problem and Change-Management.
I have a good understanding of Cloud computing with all its different facets, extending the benefits of Virtualizations to a wider area of use cases.
