I specialise in software development projects that are characterised by complex data sets, data pipelines, ETL/ELTs, workflow automation and form applications.
I started working with databases when I was 17 (1987) but my fascination with data, data structures and mathematical structures has always been there for as long as I can remember.
I read Astrophysics at Edinburgh University, followed by Theology, followed by extra Open University honours-level courses in statistical and mathematical modelling techniques.
I kicked off my career proper at Pfizer: building test cases using Fortran and Genstat for Excel plugins used by researchers.
Since then I have worked with VoIP billing platforms as well as a number of large, highly complex form-based applications, workflows, data pipelines, ETLs, ELTS etc.
My problem-solving abilities in these fields arise from my highly divergent mode of thinking which is a huge asset for any organisation I work with.
